Welcome to Languedoc Uncovered

There was time when visitors to the French Mediterranean would automatically turn left at the bottom of the Rhone valley, and head for Provence and the Côte d’Azur. Those days are gone, and the Languedoc is now firmly on the map as a first class destination.

Whether you’re here to visit the many remarkable historical sites, the miles of long sandy beaches, the vertiginous gorges of the Espinousse and Cévennes or the rolling vineyards north of Béziers, there are stunning landscapes everywhere.

It’s the most diverse and innovative wine region in the world, it abounds with producers of olive oil, crumbling goats cheeses, saffron, oysters, mussels, melons, nectarines and any other fruit or vegetable that you can think of.

You can drive for miles and only happen upon pretty, authentic, working villages, where wine is still the fabric that holds the local community together, with the rows of nineteenth century winemakers’ houses all leading towards those cathedrals of the Languedoc: the Wine Cooperatives.

Yet there are also the bustling centres of Montpellier, Béziers, Sète and Narbonne and the lively, ancient towns of Pézenas and Agde.
We know what a great place the Languedoc is. Join us on one of our tours and we know that you’ll be convinced too.
